About the Author
Angel Stull-James
Angel Stull-James is a proud Pensacola native and an honored graduate of Florida State University. Her journey began in the world of entertainment and fashion, where she thrived as a child model and actress before stepping into the high-paced fashion scene of New York City. There, she worked with several of the industry's most prominent design houses, gaining invaluable experience and creative inspiration.
Driven by a passion for justice and communication, Angel later earned her credentials as a certified county mediator and became a licensed attorney in both Florida and New York. After years of serving as lead in-house counsel at a respected local law firm in her hometown, she made the intentional decision to step away from law to focus on her greatest role—being a mother to her four children, a title she holds dearest.
Now, as a certified and officially licensed Blue Angels retailer, Angel channels her love for her community, military, and the iconic Blue Angels into storytelling. Her Bluesday Book Series proudly shares the legacy and excitement of the Blue Angels, inspiring young dreamers to soar high—just like the jets that fill the skies over Pensacola.
The Story Behind Bluesday

Angel Stull-James has always had a passion for writing and was even published at a young age. However, it was the birth of her first children—twins—that reignited her long-lost love for storytelling and inspired her to pursue writing more seriously. Since 2018, she has written numerous books for her children, turning bedtime stories and family moments into literary treasures.
In 2018, Angel took a leap into the world of publishing with the release of her debut children’s book, Tuesday Bluesday. The story was inspired by Pensacola’s beloved Blue Angels and the awe her children experienced watching them soar through the skies at such a young age. Tuesday Bluesday celebrates the pride and excitement the Blue Angels bring to their hometown, capturing the energy of the community and portraying the pilots in a bright, positive light. With its upbeat tone and playful rhymes, the book is designed to engage young readers and instill a love of reading early in life—something Angel is deeply passionate about.
Following the success of her debut, Angel released the second book in her Blue Angels-themed series in 2020: Fat Tuesday. This lively follow-up focuses on the world-famous United States Navy Blue Angels’ C-130 aircraft. True to the series' style, Fat Tuesday features whimsical rhymes and a spirited tone that appeals to both young readers and Blue Angels fans of all ages, further expanding the reach and heart of the Bluesday legacy.
The Story Continues
The third title in the series, A Blues Christmas, is set to release this year and holds a deeply personal significance. In December 2022, at the start of the holiday season, Angel experienced a sudden and severe injury that led to hospitalization. Christmas traditions with her children were always cherished, and that year brought unexpected challenges. Yet, rather than letting the experience overshadow the season, Angel transformed the hardship into something meaningful.
On the night before undergoing emergency surgery, while nestled in a hospital bed with her children reading Christmas books, inspiration struck. In that vulnerable yet powerful moment, A Blues Christmas was born. Written from her hospital bed, the story became a testament to resilience, love, and the magic of making memories—even in the face of adversity. The book is a heartfelt reminder that while life may bring setbacks, it’s our mindset and actions that shape the story. Angel’s message is clear: grow through what you go through—and always choose to turn challenges into cherished moments.
